Webinar Purpose: The webinar is geared toward school-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who want to know more about assessment and progress monitoring for language-learning disorders like dyslexia. Changes to the school-based SLP’s role in the student identification process may necessitate earlier and more substantial involvement and support for students with low reading scores. This webinar aims to address the SLP’s changing role and will include information about appropriate assessment targets when language-learning disorders like dyslexia are suspected as well as useful assessment tools for SLPs. Curriculum-based measures for progress monitoring and instructional decision making will also be reviewed. Resources and references for continued learning on this subject will be shared and discussed.
