Legislative Day is an opportunity to build relationships with state senators, while educating and informing them about the speech-language-hearing field in our state. It will be important for you to discuss with your state senator what the impacts to your business and clients will be, as they relate to topics such as healthcare system transformation, habilitative services and access and reimbursement for speech-language-hearing services.
A complimentary webinar on January 28th will be held at 4:00 p.m. Central to help you prepare for Legislative Day. NSLHA lobbyist Rich Lombardi discussing how the legislative process works (including how a bill becomes a law) and how to build relationships with your state senator. Legislative Affairs Committee co-chairs Cindy Johnson and Jessica Thoene will explain the priority issues to focus on during conversations at Legislative Day. Talking points will be provided as a handout for the webinar and also at the Legislative Day.
